Holy Cannoli! Its almost February! I see the work load starting to creep up on me again. I am looking forward to this year. Lets bring on Spring!
What will get me through this crazy spring?….. Yes COFFEE!! I plan on getting a nice small insulated thermos and only bring a cup or two to work. That way I wont drink an entire hydro flask like I used too. I don’t need 20oz of coffee each day! 🙂 Although, I love it. I’m kind of liking this one I found on amazon.
This will hopefully get me off to the right start and not overload my body with too much caffeine and not enough water. That usually leads to upset stomachs and headaches.

This morning, while sipping my delicious cup of coffee and rubbing the sleep from my eyes, I checked the daily news and a few things were brought to my attention concerning this holiday season…. We are all obsessed with what is totally fabulous to eat, decadent to drink and how much we will unfortunately weigh when we are done stuffing our “Oh so happy” faces. I fall victim to this trend each and every year, especially considering the winters are my down time to relax and do nothing if my little heart desires to do so. My coffee, however, understands this little known back and forth struggle and ever so lovingly supports me by having absolutely no calories. This is only true if you drink it straight from the pot or espresso machine with no additives. I myself love my coffee this way. Simple and satisfying. What doesn’t understand this yearly fight?… ALL THE OTHER DELICIOUS FOODS!
Each year I have a little, much-needed and completely necessary, heart to heart with something very important to me that affects my spring attire…..this painful conversation is had between me and my jeans… I look at them and say “Okay here’s the deal, I have to be able to fit into you all winter or I will be forced to diet and yoga every day.” My jeans simply reply…”Try all you want my food loving friend, but I will be hugging onto your legs like grim death in only a few weeks times so you better start now.” This was not a pleasing reality to have only a short few weeks into winter… And so here I am uncomfortably blogging in my summer jeans debating on what Awesome Butt Exercise is going to save the day. And of course when this lovely adventure is going to start…Motivation don’t fail me now. I know this will take consuming massive amounts of coffee to get me through, that is a challenge I am willing to accept. Thank God I do not have to live without my personality each day, we all know that would not fair well for those in my path.
So to all of you fellow foodies out there whom love this time of year and the wondrous foods it brings to the table giving us all the happiness of the season…I am right there with you… I say Bring it on! I plan on eating and drinking what I want and then blasting it off! 🙂 Happy Winter, and remember we are only a comment away and would love to hear your side of the adventure.
Life is crazy these days, it seems like there is only time to grab a cup of coffee and head out the door hoping you have remembered all the essentials. The end of the summer is organized chaos at our house, sports, work, yard work, all things ending in “Work” pretty much.
I hope you have found time to really enjoy the summer no matter where you are in the world! 🙂 Each day is a journey, with opportunity and new things to experience.
