Is it really almost February?

Holy Cannoli! Its almost February! I see the work load starting to creep up on me again. I am looking forward to this year. Lets bring on Spring!

What will get me through this crazy spring?….. Yes COFFEE!! I plan on getting a nice small insulated thermos and only bring a cup or two to work. That way I wont drink an entire hydro flask like I used too. I don’t need 20oz of coffee each day! 🙂 Although, I love it.  I’m kind of liking this one I found on amazon.

This will hopefully get me off to the right start and not overload my body with too much caffeine and not enough water.  That usually leads to upset stomachs and headaches.

Our Favorite Coffee!

We at The Coffee Kingdom love our coffee…..I mean love our coffee. It is ground and brewed fresh every morning then enjoyed straight from our French press.

This coffee is roasted by our friends at Caffe Pacori in Eugene, Oregon. All the coffee is roasted in small batches by hand daily. The freshness is outstanding! I have attached a link above and below for you to check out the three flavors we have available. It is the best coffee we have had.

We run on coffee around here! If it wasn’t for these amazing blends…well I not be here writing. I would most likely be napping…with my mini pig…on the couch…watching a movie…wishing I had coffee.

I know for a fact that I drink way more coffee in the winter and spring than I do in the summer and fall. I mean who doesn’t love Hot Buttered Rum with real rum and delicious ice cream, butter and spices! Oh me Oh my.

Lets not forget Irish coffee liqueur in your morning coffee…. Man a girl could drink at any time of the day in the winter! Its a good thing we have some self control over here. 🙂

French pressed coffee…By far the best

I have noticed that over the years coffee started giving me heart burn. Then  we got an amazing new blend of coffee from our friend Eric, owner of Caffe Pacori,  whose hand roasts his beans each day. 

Recognizing it was a special blend, we decided to French press the roast. I have to tell you that it is so smooth and perfectly brewed. The heartburn is less which I am excited about because I love my coffee.

Cappuccino on a rainy day?….Yes Please!

Had a great lunch today at a local café and enjoyed a wonderfully made cappuccino with the thickest foam I have ever seen.

Lets just say I was very impressed and yes I was the one that stood her straw up in her cup all smiling and excited at the perfection of the delicious drink before me. It was the perfect drink to start the weekend. And the food was absolutely amazing. We are definitely going back to enjoy more of the enticing items on their menu.

Now I forgot to take a snap shot of my perfect cup of decadent coffee but here are a few foam perfections I found that compare nicely.

….waiting not so patiently for spring…

We are ready to soak up the sun and drink our coffee on the porch,

without freezing our butts off.

It’s Officially Fall…but it feels like Summer! :)

When the calendar hits First day of Fall we are all ready to dust off our comfy house sweaters, slippers and favorite sweat pants. However, when the weather man hits us with 80° I find myself sadly still sporting the tank top and capris.

I do, however, break out the tea kettle and start drooling over pumpkin spice lattes along with freshly pressed apple cider. I definitely recommend using apples from your local farmers.

 

An epiphany just stuck me. I have not tried to make my own Pumpkin spiced coffee/latte before. This will have to be remedied this fall. Due to my awesome job as a Greenhouse manager and landscaper, I have time in the winter to play with food and drinks. I to make homemade hot coco with melted chocolate and whipping cream. Or for the adults Spiced Rum whipped cream on top of my morning coffee…Lets make this one Irish! 🙂 Yum

I am eager for the weather to match the calendar and the leaves to finish falling. Not to mention, start knitting scarves, drinking my warm comfort drinks, and wearing my hoodie all day! 🙂
